Bio
Shirley Louise Schank was born in Anderson, Texas on May 19, 1937 and went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2022 at the age of 85 with her family by her side. After graduating from Anderson High School, she moved to Houston, Texas to work in the electronics industry. While in Houston, she met Jerry. Shirley and Jerry were married in October 1960. Shirley loved her family and church immensely. Shirley was happiest when she was spending time with family, friends, and fellow parishioners around the table enjoying home cooked meals. Shirley is preceded in death by her brother, Marion, and her parents, Catherine and Stash Wrobleski. Left to cherish her memory, her husband, Jerry, of 62 years; daughter, Tina and her husband, John; son, Paul and his wife, Shealynn; sisters, Virginia and JoAnn; and her granddaughters, Kristen, Lauren, and Sarah. The legacy Shirley leaves behind is her undying love and devotion to her family that will live on through her children, grandchildren, and the lives of the many people she touched. Shirley will be missed tremendously by family and friends. Services will take place at the following locations: Visitation and rosary will begin at 5 pm and 7 pm, respectively, Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church of Wallis, 5610 Demel St., Wallis, TX. A funeral mass will begin at 11:30 am Friday, July 22, 2022, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church of Wallis. Entombment to follow immediately after the mass at Guardian Angel Cemetery.
