Married Paula Correne Rogers Preston Lee Cary, 77 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial service will be held at a later date Preston was born Sunday, December 17, 1944 in Vernon, Texas, he was the son of the late Frances Allen "Jack" Cary and the late Wilma June Skelton Cary. He married Paula Rogers on February 10, 1968 in Vernon. He served in the US Navy for three years. He was owner and operated Preston Cary Paint Contractor. Preston passion was Vernon History he collected Vernon history artifacts for 40 years and opened and operated The Wilbarger County Historical Museum opening on Roy Orbison birthday, April 23, 2015. Preston collection of Wilbarger County Historical Artifacts was massive and he displayed them proudly he was always available to give tours of the museum. Preston is survived by his wife Paula Cary of the home, his two sons, Mark Cary of Port Aransas, TX and Nick Cary of Vernon, TX, brother, David Cary of Vernon, TX, sister, Jackie Diggs of Margaret, TX. two grandchildren Kamryn Cary of Vernon, Texas and Jon "Jac" Cary of Burleson, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roy Cary.
