Baby plot Written by Gerhard Dick Our first child, Katharina was born August 29, 1873. She was a cheerful and clever child, till one day she complained about chest pains. We found out she had fallen off the table. I took her to a doctor, after she had been sick for a long time, but it was in vain. Her pains got worse and after severe suffering, she died on April 10, 1877 being 3 years, 7 months and 12 days old. She was sick 13 weeks, the last 18 days very sick. She is the only one left in Russia resting on the churchyard by Nickolaidorf, Russia
