Note: An obituary published in an edition of the Decatur News on Apr 16, 1953, indicates Janet "was born in December of 1925" to parents "who then resided at Emerson, Nebraska" and died "at the age of 28 years and 3 months." A later edition shows she was born in Dec 1925. Per Nebraska, U.S., Birth Ledgers, 1904-1911, Birth Index, 1912-1994 she was born Dec 30, 1924, in Dixon, Nebraska, which concurs with age of 28 years and 3 months. Birth record is primary over obituary for birth location, so Dixon is assumed to be correct.
