Monroe "Pete" Wilkerson,72, of Kemp, formerly of Desoto. Passed away May 25, 2004. Born in Lancaster, TX on November 22, 1931 to Lawson & Opal Wilkerson. Attended school in Lancaster. He was a Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. A longtime resident of Desoto before moving to Cedar Creek Lake. Retired Cement Contractor. Survived by his wife: Annette Wilkerson, Son & daughter in law: Mac & Sarah Wilkerson, Grandsons: Jason & wife, Stacy Wilkerson, Kemp & wife, Gail Wilkerson. Granddaughter: Robin Jones, Great Grandchildren: Lauren, Hunter, Madison, Cody, Jay & Carter Wilkerson, Jessica & Jarrett Jones, Brother: Lawson Wilkerson, Sisters: Louise Cain, Margaret Moffitt, Nancy Wyatt & Donna Batchler. The family wishes to thank a special friend, Nancy Osmulski -- he called her, "Hon", for her love and care during his illness. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, June 1, 2004 from 6 to 8 PM.
