Bio
Sylvester "Syl" Anton Slansky, of Houston, Texas, was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all, as he never knew a stranger. He left us, surrounded by his family, on June 20, 2022 at the age of 80. Syl was the youngest child of Anton and Sophie Slansky. He was raised in the small community of Frydek, Texas. He married Mary Ann Bosch of East Benard on May 3, 1969, and they resided in Houston, Texas. After retiring as a draftsman, Syl loved spending time with his family, trips to the casino, and spending time in his garage fixing things and starting up his Harley. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann; and his son, Brian, and wife, Tina, and children Aiden and Dylan; and his daughter, Sandy Jez and husband, Jason. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 24, 2022, from 10:30 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Frydek, 10471 Grotto Rd., Sealy, Texas 77474. A rosary will begin at 11:00 AM followed by a funeral mass at 11:30 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
