Audrey L. Owens Audrey L. Owens died at 4:05 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at Lane Regional Medical Center, Zachary. He was a resident of Jackson having retired from East Louisiana State Hospital and Villa Feliciana Geriatric Hospital, both in Jackson. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visiting resumes Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, Centreville, Miss. He is survived by five daughters, Mattie Owens Foster and husband, Clovis D. Foster, of Denham Springs, Minnie Owens and Katie Owens Brown and husband William Brown, all of Baton Rouge, Candace Kristine Owens, of Jackson and Sherrie Owens Lemings and husband Robert L. Lemings Jr., of Baton Rouge; a son, Aubrey Lee Owens III, of Jackson; grandchildren, Donna Kay Wheeler, Jennifer Lynn Derbes, Richard Wayne Foster, Douglas Wayne Foster, Heather Nicole Sebastien, Mathew Jason Owens, Tracy Michelle Owens, Cody Ryan Patriquin and Robert Larry Lemings III; a sister, Mandy Owens, of Denham Springs; and two brothers, Lonnie Owens, of Jackson, Miss., and Thomas Owens, of Denham Springs; a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife of 37 years, Mattie Miller Owens; son, Joseph Randolph Owens; stepdaughter, Annie Messenger Carron; parents, Audrey Robert Owens and Rosa Lee Beatty Owens; sisters, Lily Mae Owens McKey, Stella Owens, Ina Owens Rogers and Nellie Owens Teal; and a brother, Sidney Owens. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Slaughter Branch. Pallbearers will be Audrey Lee Owens, Mike McIntyre, William Rown, Smokey Lockhart, Joe Gunter and Chris Jones.
