Rosa Bee "Rose" Matthews, 87, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at a local care center. Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Peace Lutheran Church, 941 Bedford Euless Rd., Hurst. Following the service Rose will be laid to rest at 2 p.m., next to her husband, W. Joe Matthews, in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd. Rose retired from the custom drapery business in 1981 and enjoyed traveling and fishing in Texas and New Mexico. She liked to crochet, play dominoes and bingo, but most of all, she enjoyed her family. She was active at the Weatherford Senior Citizens Center until she moved to North Richland Hills in 2004. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. Survivors: Son, Ron Matthews and his wife, Patty; sister, Betty Isbell; grandchildren, Jason, Abbey, Ryan and Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Marley, Presley, Walker and Joey Pridcore; cousin,Clyde Covington; Published in the Star-Telegram on 1/23/2007.
