Bio

My father, Edward Ellis Carter, was born in Dallas to Edith Christine Hull Carter and Dallas Bush Carter. He attended Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Cliff growing up and graduated from Sunset High School. During WWII, he was an aircraft mechanic at the Corpus Christie Naval Air Station. He was a professional mechanical engineer, having graduated from SMU right after the end of the war. He was diagnosed with Leukemia in December of 1976, and lost his battle with it the following April. He is buried next to his parents.
