William "Bill" Stevens, 71, of Overton, Nebraska passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022, in his home. William was born on September 9, 1950, in Kearney, Nebraska to Warren and Betty June (Livingston) Stevens. William lived his whole life on the home place north of Overton. He would soon meet (Schutt) and was united in marriage on September 12, 1980 and were together for 41 years. They were so in love and happy to have found each other. Three sons were blessed to this union. William was a proud rancher. He was particularly proud of his black angus cow herd. William, his wife Roberta, and son Robert spent their days raising cattle, hogs, sheep and goats. For one summer, he found joy in playing on a softball team for Tub's Pub in Sumner. William was exceptionally proud of his three sons and their accomplishments. Robert went on to become a rancher, Billy became an electrician, and John became a farmer and mechanic. He will be greatly missed by his loving friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, sister, Judy Warm; brothers, Roger Stevens and Allen Stevens; brothers-in-law, Lupe Ceballos and Butch Siebenlar; sister-in-law, Donna Siebenlar; parents-in-law, Robert and Evelyn Schutt; niece, Lori Montgomery; great-niece, Emmah Montgomery and great-nephew, Austin Montgomery. Interment will be in the Sumner Cemetery in Sumner, Nebraska.
