~ALVIN LEE "ALVIE" VANDVER~ Was the son of William Thomas & Katie Catherine (Conklin) Vandver. Married to Carrie Ann (Rogers) Vandver Alvie Vandver born in Carter, Spencer County, Indiana, USA in 1894 to William Thomas Vandver and Katie Catherine Conklin, Vandver. Four brothers(Will,Tom,Ollis,Alvie)came to Texas about 1915 and settled in Douglass, Nacogdoches County, Texas and later moved to Tarkington Prairie and raised thier families and lived out the rest of thier lives in Liberty County, Texas.
