Bio
Jack Richard Edwards, age 71 of Estill Springs, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton-Hospital. He was born to the late Jack Weldon Edwards and Eleanor Lightfoot Dew in Houston, TX on October 16, 1950. Rick owned and operated Rick's Auto Repair and served the Estill Springs community for 22 years. He was an active church member of Agape Ministries in Winchester. Rick coached his children in little league ball and enjoyed taking them camping. He loved lighthouses and the symbolic meaning that it represents the guiding light of the Holy Spirit, the hope of salvation and the steadfastness of God. They also represent strength, by withstanding powerful storms. Rick is preceded in death by his father, Jack Weldon Edwards and his mother and stepfather, Eleanor and John Dew; and two brothers, Kenneth Oscar Edwards and William Ray Edwards. Rick is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Mary Edwards; children, Sophia Trueheart, Patrick (Shawan) Trueheart, Bill (Shelby) Edwards and Ryan Edwards; grandchildren, Tristen Trueheart, Eli Trueheart, Paislee Trueheart, Solomon Trueheart, Paxton Trueheart; sibilings, Joy (Hulan) Brown, Wanda Keel, Susie (Mitch) Dunlap, and Troy Edwards; several nieces and nephews; and many great friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at Moore- Cortner Funeral Home.
