Steve married Annie Margaret Lezak on June 5, 1938 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek, Austin County, Texas. Services for Steve C. Pavlicek, 77, of Frydek were held Monday, October 5, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Frydek with Bishop John McCarthy, the Revs. Bernard Snock and Louis Pavlicek and 30 visiting priests concelebrating the funeral Mass and rite of committal. The K.J.T. rosary was recited Oct. 4 at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by the parish vigil wake service. Interment followed at St. Mary's Cemetery in Frydek. Pallbearers were Daniel Prihoda, Bernie Milligan, Steve Alvarez, Pete Zapalac, Chris Haczynski and Milton Ermis with honorary pallbearers, Russell Ondruch, Steve Blahuta, Mike Powers and John Hayden. Steve Charles Pavlicek was born August 3, 1915 in Frydek to Louis and Aloise Zaruba Pavlicek. He was reared in Frydek and attended school in Sealy. On June 5, 1938, he married the former Miss Annie Lezak in Galveston and became a home building contractor. Mr. Pavlicek was an active member of St. Mary' s Catholic Church where he served on the advisory board, chairman of the parish bazaar committee and member of St. Mary's Men Club. He was also a general contractor for the Frydek Youth Center and Pavilion, member of the building committee for the Frydek Grotto and the new structure of St. Mary's Church. He was an officer of the KJT Society in Frydek for 35 years and a member for over 50. He served as trustee for the Frydek Public School until its consolidation in 1964. After the death of his first wife, Annie, he married the former Mrs. Annie Vitek Belunek on Aug 25, 1979. Pavlicek died October 2, 1992 in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Annie Vitek Pavlicek of Frydek; three daughters, Mildred Ondruch of Frydek, Irene Blahuta of Wallis and Edith Mlcak of Houston; a son, the Rev. Louis Pavlicek of Round Top; four step-children, Daniel Prihoda of Wallis, Sharon Machala, Bernice Novosad and Janice Roberts, all of Sealy; three sisters, Louise Absnaider, Frances Lastovica and Julie Milberger, all of Houston: 21 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Annie Pavlicek; parents, Louis and Aloise Pavlicek; a sister, Antonia Tallas, two brothers, Alois and Frankie Pavlicek. Funeral services were under the direction of the Knesek Bros./Etlinger Funeral Chapel of Sealy. Bellville Times, October 8, 1992
