Bio

Launa Tinsley Patton, 88, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2022. Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Kaufman Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Mount Olivet Chapel (Breyley Suite). Launa was born July 12, 1933, in Kaufman, Texas. She was the youngest of seven children born to Wesley and Katy Tinsley. After graduating from Kaufman High School she was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone. She held many positions during her 34 year career, where she retired as an accounting manager. In her spare time Launa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her Haltom City home, but more importantly at the lake house at Cedar Creek Lake. She had an open door policy for all who came. There was always plenty of homemade foods, from her fried chicken to the best of cakes, pies, and cookies. Launa was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Katy Tinsley; husband of 47 years, Ralph Patton; granddaughter, Jennifer Patton; brothers, Keller, Jimmy and Sid Tinsley; and sisters, Emma Lou Stark and Charlene Stevens. She is survived by her son, Terry, and wife, Araceli; daughter, Jill Zauber and husband, Kim; grandchildren, Courtney Patton Eady and husband, Jason, Clay Patton and Elizabeth; step-grandson, Kelly Zauber and wife, Rachel; step-granddaughter, Stephanie Roman and, husband, Armando; step-grandson, Juan San Martin and wife, Victoria; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Aubrey Vanden Berge; eleven step-grandchildren, Kayden, Kayleigh, Kennedy Zauber, Eryka Eady, Clarissa, Kiara and Showell Gonzalez; Airianna Roman, Isaac Lopez, Joseph and Emma San Martin, and sister, Freda Wallace. Wonderful advice given by Granny during a recent interview: "Think twice before you speak, and be kind and gentle to everyone." We will miss her words of wisdom.
