Born and raised in Brashear, Hopkins County, Texas. Son of James Henry George (1895-1971) and Annie Belle Smith George. Married Dixie Dell Davis in Yantis on February 28, 1954. He was a dairyman and a lawman. Retired from the Wood County Sheriff's Department in 1989.
