Published Huntsville Times, Huntsville, AL, Saturday, February 8, 1986. Mrs. Bertha Louise White, 76, of Route 1, Elkmont, died Thursday at the D. E. Jackson Memorial Hospital in Lester. The funeral will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Bowling officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge. Survivors include her husband, George White; three sons, C. B. White of Alexandria, VA, and Donald O. White and Thomas White, both of Athens; three daughters, Betty J. Brewer of Elkmont, Jeanette Wallace of Lester and Marjorie Overton of Athens; a brother, Chester Griggs of Lester; a sister, Edna Evans of Athens; 23 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Married George Wallace White, December 27, 1924, Giles Co, TN. d/o Jonas Peter (Jack) Griggs and Fannie Lou Gross Griggs Griffin
