Pansy R. Worden (Lightfoot) Tuesday, May 16th, 1933 - Friday, May 27th, 2022 Graveside services for Pansy R. Lightfoot Worden, 89, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Woodside Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. Worden passed away May 27, 2022, in Quitman. She was born May 16, 1933, to Sophie Emline Melton & Hodge Jackson Lightfoot Sr. Pansy had lived most of her life in Grand Saline, where she was a jailer for Van Zandt County, and served as a member of the VZC Ladies Auxiliary for many years. She had also worked at Texas Instruments. Pansy especially loved playing games such as BINGO and Canasta. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Worden; son, Jimmy Joe Worden; brother, Hodge Lightfoot Jr.; and two sisters, Sophie Sorrells and Margaret Hall. Survivors include her three sons, Mark Worden and Cristy Wheeler of Grand Saline, Otis Worden of Pittsburg, and Coy Worden of Kaufman; five daughters, Diana Weatherford of Martins Mill, Shirley Myers and husband Dalton of Yantis, Janice Brewer and husband Jerry of Kemp, Linda Worden, and Carolyn Diane Thomas; two sisters, Vivien Hickey of Seagoville, and Laura Jane Levescy of Wills Point; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
