Peggy Jo Stowers, 63 of Whitewright, Texas passed away on Sunday, October 23, in her home. Peggy was born March 23, 1953 in Sherman, Texas to Wayne Geer and Mary Jo (Brown) Geer. Peggy married the Love of her life Hal Stowers on November 9, 1979. She always thought of others before herself, and gave everything she had to those she loved most, her family. She took great pride in her kids and grandkids. She found the most joy watching her grandchildren play their sports or do whatever each one loved to do. Peggy will be greatly missed by those that loved her. Peggy is survived by her husband, Hal Stowers, daughter, Misty Humphries and husband Scott of Van Alstyne, son, Larry Adams and wife Lynn of Van Alstyne, son, Phillip Stowers and wife Brandi of Van Alstyne, and daughter, Tracy Brown and husband, Johnny of Denison. Eight precious grandchildren Tyler Adams, Mason Adams, Ryan Humphries, Emma Stowers, Hallie Paskiewicz, Carter Stowers, Gizele Brown and Jace Brown. Other surviving family members include: brother, John Geer of Pottsboro, brother, David Geer of Westminister, sister, Debbie Ingram of Westminister, and brother, Randy Geer of Sherman as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at the Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel in Van Alstyne, TX. The online register book may be signed at www.scogginsfuneralhome.com
