Lavinia "Jean" McKay of Longview, Texas, passed away December 24, 2007, at her residence in Longview, Texas, at the age of 80. She was born March 9, 1927, in Bristol, Texas, to Howard and Lillian Davis. The oldest of five children, she was a member of Judson Road Church of Christ in Longview, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David Jean; and her siblings, June Sutherland and Morris Davis. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, James McKay; her children, Lou Anne Morse, Darrell McKay, Gary McKay and Laurrie Berden; grandchildren, Christy Newland, Sonica Womack, Michael Morse, Casey McNutt, Carrie Varnell, Sara McKay, Matt McKay, Mallory, Jessica and Zachary McKay and Austin Berden; great-grandchildren, Ali, Macy and Lily Newland, Dylan and Jake Womack and Daniel Varnell; and her siblings, Jack Bill Davis and Joan Davis. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2007, at Green Funeral Home in Ferris, Texas, with Brother Leon Goff officiating. Interment will be in at Bristol Cemetery.
