Lloyd Houdek , 62, passed away peacefully after a long life of health trials. He is survived by siblings Nola Houdek Luttich, Clyde Houdek, both of Lincoln. He is also survived by his four loved nieces, Azur Jacobson-Hood, Abigail Ahl, and nephew Jonathan Franson, 9 great nieces and nephews including his beloved "Brookie" Ahl. He is preceded in death by his father Arnold Houdek, stepmother Alice Houdek, Mother Bonnie Houdek, brothers Adrian (AJ), and Kent Houdek. Niece Amber Franson. After his special education was completed he was in the care of Community Alternatives, Region 5, Extended Families of NE, Mosaic of Beatrice and ultimately Nebraska State Developmental Center in Beatrice . He enjoyed many activities as his health would allow. Member of Special Olympics Shooting Stars, earning medals in track in his younger years, bowling for many years, and bocce and golf skills. Wednesday night adult social club, traveling to Florida with family , ceramics and any community musical activities he was a happy participant. Lloyd was blessed though out the years with Sunday School classes at Christ Place Church and later years Masterpiece class at First Free Evangelical Church. Celebration of life services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Ropers and Sons – South, 3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE. Service will be live streamed.
