Wife of Emerson Cheever __________ The Superior Telegram (Superior, WI); 21 Nov 2014 Arlene E. Cheever Arlene Evelyn Cheever, 75, of Spanaway, Wash., died Nov 1, 2014, at home. She was born March 11, 1939, at home in Foxboro, Wis., the daughter of Ray and Irene (Orlowski) Warring. As an infant, she was adopted by her aunt and uncle, Gertrude and Tony Simon. Her father died suddenly in 1944 and her mother remarried in 1951, to Charles R. Young of Foxboro. She grew up in the Patzau/Foxboro area. In her teen years she was a cadet in the Superior chapter of the Civil Air Patrol. She graduated from Superior Central High School in 1957. Following high school she graduated beauty school and also took nurses training. In 1960 she married Emerson Cheever of Solon Springs. Arlene was a long time employee of the Waterville Care Center, in Waterville Minn. She enjoyed singing in the community choir and participated in the theatre at the local playhouse. She was an excellent cook, had a passion for gardening, and her quick wit and love of laughter entertained all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, LIVING of Spanaway, Wash., sons; LIVING; and daughter LIVING; four grandchildren, LIVING. A sister, LIVING, Superior and brother LIVING, Foxboro. She is also survived by lifelong friends, LIVING. A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6th at Rush River Lutheran Church, N8623 County Road Y, River Falls, WI 54022
