The Banner-Press (David City, Nebr.), September 29, 1955, p. 13, col. 1 & 2 BRAINARD Joseph Riha, 61, Former Resident, Dies Saturday Joseph Riha, age 61, a former Brainard resident died in the Douglas County Hospital in Omaha Saturday, Sept. 24, as the result of heart trouble. Funeral services were held from the Holesovsky Funeral Home Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev. Paul Sheehy. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Riha was the son of Thomas and Josephine Riha and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Riha of Omaha, and sons, Edward of Seward and Louis of Brainard.
