Janet LaRue Franklin January 24, 1952 ~ May 13, 2022 Janet Franklin, 70, of Whitney, Texas passed away May 13, 2022. She was born January 24, 1952 in Snyder, Texas to Jewell and LaRue (Ford) Franklin. She graduated from Seminole High School and attended Wayland Baptist University and Texas Tech University. She grew up on a farm in West Texas, raised her children in Temple and Odessa, and retired to Lake Whitney three years ago. No matter where she lived, she brought warmth and kindness with her. Janet spent the majority of her career as a medical transcriptionist which she greatly enjoyed, and she was always admired for her incredible diligence. Janet loved spending time with family and old friends, reading, watching movies, listening to Elvis Presley, traveling, trying new things, sitting on her porch swing with her dog Sophie, and sharing laughs with people on social media. Janet exuded support and compassion for her family through the many desires and difficulties of their lives. Survived by her three children, Meagan, Jerrod and Mikka, her brother, Jay, her grand children as well as her loyal dog, Sophie. Preceded in death by her parents.
