Geraldine R. Bordovsky, 83, of Valparaiso, NE, died December 5, 2022 at Bryan East Medical Center in Lincoln, NE. She was born May 12, 1939 in Valparaiso, NE to Peter Sr. and Adeline (Roublicek) Matulka. Geraldine graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1956. On April 23, 1960, she married Joseph Bordovsky at Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso, NE. Geraldine spent several years working at daycares in Raymond and Lincoln. She had a passion for caring and teaching young children. Geraldine was a member of Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society, and she was a CCD teacher for many years. Geraldine loved flowers, gardening, raising animals and ceramic painting. She is survived by husband of 62 years, Joseph Bordovsky; children, Eric (Nancy) Bordovsky, Lamont (Colleen) Bordovsky, Pete (Christie) Bordovsky, Craig (Stephanie) Bordovsky and Aaron Bordovsky; grandchildren, Nicholas (Melissa) Bordovsky, Ashley (Tyler) Schirm, Dalton (Brianna) Bordovsky, Wyatt (Eli) Bordovsky, Clint (Kelly) Bordovsky, Carley Bordovsky, Jacob (Thu) Bordovsky, Blythe Bordovsky, Cole (Emmaley) Bordovsky, Kayli (fiancé, Emmett Hughes) Bordovsky and Mason Bordovsky; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Ervin Matulka; many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by children, Paul Bordovsky and Jodine Bordovsky; grandchild, Alex Bordovsky; parents, Peter Sr. and Adeline Matulka; brothers, Peter, Lawrence and Eugene Matulka; daughter-in-law, Kathy Bordovsky. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, December 12, 2022 ~ 10 a.m., Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church , Valparaiso, Nebraska. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Valparaiso, Nebraska.
