Birdie Anstrand, 90, of Dallas, Texas passed away May 12, 2022. She was born September 04, 1931 to Richard O. and Orie Lee Sims near Brownsboro, Texas. After graduating high school she attended St, Vincent Nursing School in Little Rock, Ar.. After graduating as a registered nurse, she worked her entire life as a .N. until her retirement in 1997 to stay home and take care of her sick husband Jim. She had a deep love for nursing and said many times, she would do it all over again if she could. Birdie was baptized as a young girl into the Church of Christ. Her current membership was at White Rock / Meadow View Church of Christ. Proceeded in death by her husband James Anstrand, her parents, Richard and Orie Lee (Sowell) Sims, Sisters, Elva (Ellis) Fowler, Daisy (Elmo) Johnson, Violet Cox and brothers, Richard (Louise) Sims and James (Wanda) Sims, by a Niece, Irma (Bill) Hartnady and Nephew Elmo (Sonny) Johnson. Graveside Services have been scheduled for May 19, 2022 in the Court of Reflections at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. Restland Funeral Home
