Son of Pavel Stejskal and Johanna Sokol. He was united in marriage October 30, 1849 to Antonia Dolezal (daughter of Jakob and Katharina). 12 children were born to this union: Frantisek, Anton, Josephine, Frantiska, Maria, George, John, Antonia, Catherine, Victoria, Johanna (1867-1867) and Johanna (1868).
