Frances Maliska, age 91, gained her wings on April 21, 2022. She was born January 15, 1930 in Ennis to John Sr. and Frances (Vrana) Maliska. She was a lifetime member of Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Frances retired from Lone Star Gas; and made her home in Mesquite for many years and returned to live at Brookdale Ennis Assisted Living Center. While at Brookdale, one of Frances' fun times was being crowned Valentine Queen. Frances loved her pets and enjoyed her daily walks and shopping trips with her sister Helen. She liked working outdoors with flowers, cross stitching and painting. To her nieces and nephews she was lovingly called Teta Frances (meaning aunt in Czech). She is survived by her sister Helen Macalik, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. and Frances Maliska; brother, Johnny Maliska, sister-in-law, Emeleen Maliska and brother-in-law, Joe Ben Macalik. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7 PM. At Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church and burial to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery with pallbearers: Mike Jaramillo, David Maliska, John Maliska, Gary Macalik, Scott Maliska and Dawson Maliska.
