Bio

Viola Edith Strange, 80, died at 12:50 a.m. Friday at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. She was a member of Women of the Moose 278 and a 50-year member of the Robinson American Legion Auxiliary and Royal Neighbors of America Camp 338. Surviving are a son, James of Terre Haute; three sisters, Hazel Plunkett and Barbara Havill, both of Robinson, and Alice Steffel of North Judson, Ind.; two brothers, Ed Hargis of Palestine and David Hargis of Robinson; two grandsons, J.B. and Jeffrey Strange; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Her husband, Byrd E., died in 1978.
