Source: Daily Ardmoreite Graveside services for John P. Robinson, 88, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Douglas R. Miller officiating. Robinson was born Feb. 5, 1911, at Madill, to John R. and Ida M. Chaney Robinson, He died Dec. 28, 1999, in Ardmore. He married Frances Black Jan. 20, 1939, and was a peanut farmer. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason of the McAlister Consistory, recently receiving his 50-year pin. He is survived by his wife, of the home; a son, Johnny Robinson, Ardmore; a daughter, Sherrian Geurin, Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home will direct services.
