TAYLOR, Oct. 1 - Funeral services for James J. Bucek, 66, will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. at the family residence here. Rites will also be held at the Granger Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. Msgr. John J. Vanicek of Granger will be in charge and will be assisted by the Rev. J.J. Polansky of Taylor and the Rev. George Tydlacka of Granger. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. Bucek, a former county commissioner, was operating a grocery store in Taylor at the time of his death late Thursday night. He is survived by one son, Walter Bucek of Granger; three daughters, Miss Velma Bucek of Giddings, Mrs. Willie Pekar and Mrs. Adolph Maizer, both of Granger; three brothers, Frank Bucek and Ed Bucek of Hallettsville, and Roy Bucek of Schulenburg; and five sisters, Mrs. E.B. Meresh of Oakdale, Calif., Mrs. Anton Krenek of Engle, Mrs. Fred Mickulka [Miculka ?], Mrs. Oswald Kubicek, and Miss Clara Bucek, all of Schulenburg.
