Nell McDaniel, 88, of Lubbock formerly of Amherst passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Lubbock. She was born August 7, 1933 in Ennis, Texas to John and Velma Lee. Nell married Lynn McDaniel November 17, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. Together the couple made their home in Amherst where they attended the Amherst First Baptist Church and raised their two sons. She was a devoted wife and mother, and especially loved being a "Memaw" to her grandsons and great grands. She was very involved in their life, attending all their sporting events and activities. She enjoyed doing needlework, crocheting and working in the yard. She is survived by her two sons, Gary Lynn McDaniel and wife Jenny of Wolfforth, Texas and Michael McDaniel and wife Tammy of Littlefield; four grandsons, Colby McDaniel and wife Mary Beth of Wylie, Caleb McDaniel and wife Ashley of Amarillo, Shane McDaniel and wife Sabrina of Heilbronn, Germany, and Tyler McDaniel of Leander, Texas; and two great grandchildren, Olivia Jewel McDaniel and Joanna Grace McDaniel and one on the way. Waiting for her in heaven was her husband Lynn who passed away March 7, 2019; a granddaughter, Courtney McDaniel; her parents and two brothers, Wallace Lee and James Lee.
