A funeral Mass for Betty Jean Cejka Sicinski, 73, of Richards, was celebrated 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson. Rev. Louis S. Sikorksi, pastor, was the celebrant. The rite of committal followed in St. Stanislaus Church Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. A parish rosary and vigil service was held Friday evening at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church with Fr. Sikorski officiating. Betty passed away at her home, Wednesday afternoon, October 3, 2007. Born August 28, 1934 in Weimer, she was the daughter of Frank C. and Elsie Pavlik Cejka and was baptized at St. Michael's Catholic Church. She moved to Houston at an early age and was a 1952 graduate of Reagan High School and later attended the University of Houston. Betty married John Lee Sicinski on September 3, 1955 and was a retired insurance adjuster. She and John moved to Richards in 1990 and she was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Thomas Carl Cejka and sister-in-law, Carolyn Cejka. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, John L. Sicinski of Richards; a son, Chet Alan Sicinski and wife Vicki of Deer Park; a brother, Frank J. Cejka of Zavalla; 2 grandsons, Nicholas Alan and Justin Alan Sicinski of Deer Park and 2 nieces, Cara Sue Riccetti and Cheryl Ann Campion. Serving as pallbearers were Chet A. Sicinski, Nicholas A. Sicinski, Justin A. Sicinski, Luther Pick, Marvin Hadash and Jim Hadash.
