Bio
Evelyn Margaret Kubin, 78, was born January 13, 1929, in Houston to the late Marie Margaret Reznicka and Stanley Louis Elzner. Evelyn Kubin was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Nacogdoches. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kubin on October 11, 1996. She is survived by her sons Charles Kubin of Garrison and Stanley Kubin and his wife Becky also of Garrison, Texas. She is also survived by one brother, Sonny Elzner and his wife Vlasta, and sister-in-law Irene Kovar and her husband, Maxon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind many friends and family who were so dear to her heart. She loved to paint, cook, laugh and share jokes and especially play dominoes. She was also a member of the SPJST lodge for many years. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 7, 2008 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Houston. Pallbearers were Glenn Elzner, Wayne Kovar, Wendel Kovar, Pete Brown, Frank Maiorana and Les Wischnewsky. From the Houston Chronicle, January 6, 2008
