DURHAM, BILL DURHAM left this world peacefully on January 16, 2004. Born January 1, 1921, Bill was loved by a large family including his wife of 58 years, Una. Bill was preceded in death by his parents William Bates and Addie Lee as well as a sister, Hazel Gammon and her husband Bill; and a brother Bates Durham, who is survived by his wife Dorothy. Bill is survived by his brother Jack Durham and his wife Jean, and sister Zeolee Werry and her husband Gerald. The children of Bill and Una include Will, who passed away nine years ago, and surviving children Rose Bivona; Carolyn Crawford; James Durham; Jane Howell, all of Richardson, Texas and Sarah Richardson of Maine. Together they blessed Bill with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Bill served in WWII in the Navy and retired from civil service. He is survived by many cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church located at 720 S. Floyd Road in Richardson. A reception will be held adjacent to the chapel immediately after the memorial service. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association North Texas Area Office in lieu of flowers.
