Goldendale Sentinel 15 Apr 1965, pg. 3 Obit summary: MELFORD W Hamllik passed away at his home in Goldendale, April 8, 1965, born in Goldendale to Frank and Cora Hamllik, 10 Sep 1909 and lived here most of his life. He was united in marriage to Ernestine Daisy Edgar on October 20, 1943 in Greenville, SC. She preceded him in death on October 23, 1963. No children were born to this union. He entered into the military on March 11, 1942, serving as a corporal with the 43rd, he was a mechanic in the Air Force, serving most of his time in London, England. He was released at Camp Beale, California November 5, 1945. Before and after the military he spent most of his time working in the lumber industry around Goldendale. Mourning his death; his mother, Cora Hamllik of Goldendale, four brothers, Floyd, Richard and Alford (his twin) all of Goldendale and Delbert of Yakima; two sisters, Sylvia Weiss and Geneva Willis of Goldendale, other family members. Services were held, April 12, burial in IOOF cemetery.
