Freddy Mac Scarborough, 79, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Waxahachie, Texas. Fred was born in Ennis, Texas on February 2, 1943, to H. T. and Orpa Oleta (Holt) Scarborough. Fred grew up in Hearne, Texas and graduated from Hearne High School. On April 24, 1965, he married Nadene Younger, and they made their home in Ennis. Fred served his country proudly serving in the United States Army. Fred worked for Ford Bacon Davis for over twenty years as an engineer. Fred was a member of Baylor Baptist Church of Ennis. He enjoyed working in his yard, reading about the Civil War, and Texas History. Fred was an Ennis Lions fan and a Baylor Bears fan. Fred loved his dogs. He loved his country and was very proud of the time he was able to serve in the protection of it. Fred is survived by his loving wife of over fifty-six years, Nadene Scarborough. He is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Chet Hensley officiating. Pallbearers will be James Ferguson, Grady Russell, Steve Gordon, Sammy DeStefano, Johnny Roberts and Mike Sibley. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Younger, Robert Allen, Wayne Allen, Steve Yeager, Cole Younger, Travis Neely, Dale Robinson, Jerry Cook, Wayne Harrison, Larry Fincher, Dudley Fox, Marshall Allen, Kenny Edgel and Dale Holt. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. In Lieu of flowers the family requests you consider the American Heart Association for donations in Fred Mac's name.
