Son of Thomas R. Calvert and Judith Ann Robinson During WWII Seaman Calvert served aboard the U.S. Revenue Cutter Grant. At the time of his service it was part of the U.S. Navy but at the time of his death it was Coast Guard. Single and living in Luning in 1910 and 1930 census Oct 1912, May 1914 he is mining in Luning. 26 Dec 1932 Reno Evening Gazette Prospector Dies In Cabin Blaze "Mina, NV, Dec 26 - James Calvert, seventy-four year old prospector and one of the first residents of Luning, together with his pet dog was burned to death in Calvert's cabin when his small home was destroyed by fire. An automobile parked near the house was also destroyed. Calvert was at one time a prominent minnig man in the state and was still interested in several properties in this vicinity. Nothing can be learned of his famil. It is understood however, that he originally came from Louisville, KY."
