Bio

Billie Lois (Chambers) Adams, 90, of Cedar Hill, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022 in a Midlothian Care Center. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 10 at Dawson Cemetery with Rev. Wilson Marsh officiating. Billie was born January 28, 1932 in Italy to E.L. and Tressie (Batson) Chambers. She was raised in the Italy and Dawson areas and was a graduate of Dawson High School. She helped the family on the farm while growing up then moved to Dallas after marriage. Billie finally settled in Duncanville where she lived for 57 years before moving to Cedar Hill several years ago. She worked as a beautician and later worked for Russell Stover Candies until retiring at age 62. Billie enjoyed sports, playing softball when younger and then bowling in a league years later. She also loved watching the Rangers and Mavericks on TV and working in her yard. Billie loved her family dearly and was very dedicated to them. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, E.L. and Tressie Chambers; sister, Bobbie Tickle and brother, Charlie Chambers. Survivors include her brother, L.C. Chambers and wife, Janice of Duncanville; daughter, Pam Armistead and husband, Al of Cedar Hill; estranged son, Ricky Adams and wife, Glenda of East Texas; grandchildren, Kim Bailey and husband, William of Cedar Hill, Kelsey Armistead of Cedar Hill and Billy Adams of East Texas; great-grandchildren, Kason Bailey and Millie Bailey, both of Cedar Hill; niece, Penni Todd and husband, Dale and their children, Delaney and Jackson of Duncanville and nephew, Denny Chambers and wife, Brandy and their daughter, Julia of Garland.
