Bio

George P. Stephens, 81, 0f 701 Grant Ave., died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital after a short illness. A native of Angels Camp, he had lived in Lodi for the past 50 years. He operated a blacksmith shop on Pine Street until his retirement 17 years ago. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Elida Swasey, of Chico; one brother, Willie Stephens of Arizona; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Burial at Cherokee Memorial Park Lodi News-Sentinel Oct 6, 1971
