Delores Hansen Obituary Memorial Services for Delores M. Hansen, age 91, of Norfolk, will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 6, 2023, at the First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. Reverend Brian Johnson will officiate. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. She passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk. Delores May was born Thursday, August 25, 1932 in Madison, Nebraska to George and Agnes (Plisek) Kominek. She graduated from Madison High School. On July 24, 1951, Delores married Raymond Hansen. In that same year, the couple moved to Alaska where they lived from 1951 until 1953 while Ray was serving in the Army. In 1953, they returned home to the family farm in Stanton where they lived for 2 years before moving permanently to Norfolk. The couple was blessed with 5 children. As the children got older, Delores worked outside the home, finishing the last 17 years at Norfolk Public Schools. Delores enjoyed spending time with family, camping, gardening, going for long walks, bingo, and attending car races. She was an avid Husker football fan. For over 56 years, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk. Left to cherish Delore's memory are her son Steven Hansen of Norfolk, daughters Denise (Mark) Borgmann of Lincoln and Vicky Wiedeman of Norfolk; daughter-in-law Jamie Hansen, sister-in-law Myrna Neisius of Norfolk; grandchildren Audra (Tim) Kruse, Amanda Peters, Amber (Tommy) Hansen-Moore, Jennifer (Dustin) McLaughlin, Annette Hansen, Nicole Peck (Dallas Mettler), Dezarae Hansen, Krystal Hansen, Andrew Wiedeman (Becca Armstrong), Kasey Hansen and Tia Hansen; 9 great grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and friends. Delores was preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Raymond, parents, sons Keith and Jeff Hansen, son-in-law Ron Wiedeman, sister Dorothy Brosh, nephew Dennis Neisius and many dear extended family members.
