Married to Peggy Jo Green February 1, 1964 Melvin M. Kowalski, 80, of Randlett, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022 in the chapel at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Funeral Home. Melvin was born August 22, 1941 in Loup City, Nebraska to Steve and Margaret (Lewandowski) Kowalski. Melvin joined the US Air Force at age 20 and was stationed at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. In December of 1965, he was assigned to Danang, Vietnam. He served his country for 21 ½ years before his retirement. Melvin then worked for T-Squared Logics where he also retired. He was a member of the American Legion. In his free time, Melvin enjoyed growing a huge garden and always supported his grandsons' FFA Chapter. From June of 2017 to the present, Melvin resided at the Lawton Veterans Center. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Marian, Don, Bob, Richard, and Larry. Surviving relatives include his daughters, Pamela J. Boggs and husband, Tim of Whites Creek, Tennessee and Milette M. Kuykendall and husband, Eddie of Randlett, Oklahoma; one son, Matthew M. Kowalski of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Danielle Ritchey and husband, Matt of Lexington, Kentucky; Darien Kuykendall of Austin, Texas; Tanner Kuykendall of Randlett, Oklahoma; and Matthew Kowalski of Albuquerque, New Mexico; great granddaughter, Emersyn Claire Ritchey; brother, Ken Kowalski and sister, Betty Kowalski, both of Loup City, Nebraska.
