Bio

Effie Blanche Lauderdale was the daughter of James S. Lauderdale (1830-1867) and Elizabeth Henson (1829-1875). Her paternal grandfather was Robert Lauderdale, Jr. (1784-c1830). Her maternal grandfather was Capt. Joseph Henson (1801-1887). Effie married Matthew Greenlee Ellison (1861-1954) who, after Effie's death, married Minnie Worthen. Matthew was the s/o William Miles Ellison (1827-1905) and Sarah Ann Cox (c1825-1866). Effie and Matthew Ellison had issue: 1. Bertha May Ellison Cook was born 21 Apr 1887 in Beckham Co., OK. She married 1) in Mangum, Greer Co., OK, 1904 Dexter Jonathan Hill, and 2) c1907 Robert Kates Cook, s/o Thomas Christopher Cook and Arabelle Austin. Burial: Longwood Cemetery, Ponca City, Kay County, Oklahoma. 2. Willie Martin Ellison was born 27 Nov 1889 in Jacksboro, Jack Co., TX. Willie married Sussie B. Hill. Willie died 12 Nov 1960. 3. Ruby Blanche Ellison Satterwhite was born 29 May 1892 in Jacksboro, TX and married James Gaither Satterwhite. Ruby died 4 Oct 1980 in Sharon, Woodward Co., OK and was laid to rest in the So. Persimmon Cemetery. 4. Nettie Lee Ellison was born 4 Jan 1895 in Beckham Co., OK. She married John G. Heard and died 21 Sep 1979 in Gregg Co., TX. Nettie's Find A Grave Memorial#: 50520310.
