Bio

Lloyd Allen Ihde was born on November 26, 1962, in York, Nebraska to Leroy and Karen (Lewis) Ihde and passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2022, at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 23 days. Lloyd was baptized on April 28, 1963, and confirmed on May 1, 1977, both at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Lloyd attended Seward High School and graduated with the Class of 1981. After high school, he fulfilled his childhood dream of becoming a United States Marine just as his father before him. In 1984, Lloyd met his wife, Mary (Lewis) in Lincoln. They were united in marriage on June 22, 1985, at St. John Lutheran Church. The couple moved to Tamora in 1986 and built their forever home. Throughout the years Lloyd worked many construction and mechanic jobs. In 1996, he was hired with BNSF railroad, where he worked as a Roadmaster, Foreman, and Track Inspector. He was employed there for the past 25 years until his passing. Lloyd enjoyed working and maintaining his ranch in Taylor, Nebraska as well as sharing his love for classic country for as far and as loud as sound could travel. He loved deer hunting and always managed to get the biggest deer every year. Lloyd was very handy and passed down that knowledge to his children. Lloyd was a devoted husband and an inspirational father. His favorite title was grandpa and he loved spoiling his grandchildren strategically with large amounts of candy and eternal love. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diana Ihde; godson, Jeremiah Ihde; uncles, Bobby, Ronnie, and Lennis; aunts, Jenny, Mae, Carol, Bonnie, and Vicky; parents-in-law, Robert and Rose Lewis; brother-in-law, Larry Lewis. Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Marianna (Mary) Ihde, Tamora; children, Steven and wife, Amy Erzen, Fort Worth, TX, Dusty and wife, Michelle Ihde, Millard, Emily and husband, Zachary Burr, Gretna; 11 grandchildren: Ariel, Paige, Christian, Landon, Aiden, Jaxson, Caleb, Alex, Hank, Kyla, and Samantha; brothers, Robert and Leroy Ihde; brother- in-law's and sisters- in-law; Bob and Joyce Lewis, Simon and Lori Lewis, Pat Lewis, Linda and Jeff Hastings; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
