Bennie Belcher, 81 of Vernon, Texas died on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Graveside service will be Wednesday February 16, 2022 at 11:00 am at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Toby Castleberry. Bennie was born Sunday, January 26, 1941 in Quanah, Texas, he was the son of the late John Samuel Belcher and the late Delores Mariene Kidwell Belcher. He married Annie Marie Kubicek on June 6, 1963 in Vernon, she preceded him in death November 11, 2021. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from the US Postal Service. He was a member of VFW and the American Legion. Bennie is survived by his sons, Michael Belcher of Vernon, TX and John A. Belcher of Vernon, TX, brother, Verlin Belcher of Amarillo, TX; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sullivan Funeral home. Memorials can be made to American Cancer Society, or Alzheimer's Association.
