Edgar William Hoagland March 12, 1939 - February 23, 2022 Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home Edgar William "Buddy" Hoagland was born March 12, 1939 and passed away February 23, 2022 at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Hoagland, son, Eddie Hoagland, Jr. and wife, Connie Hoagland; grandchildren, Julie Laake and husband Ray, Matthew Hoagland and wife, Abby; seven great grandchildren, Brandon Ferguson, Abby Ferguson, Christopher Laake, Adalynn Laake, Sherry Hoagland, Greyson Hoagland and Ryder Hoagland. He is also survived by his brothers, Shoey Hoagland and wife, Missy and Bruce Hoagland and wife, Jean, as well as Roy Brown, Glenn Hoagland, Crystal Hoagland, and Jeannie Hoagland and many special nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Royce Hoagland and Florence Maureen Cole Hoagland; brothers, Bo Hoagland, Ronny Hoagland, Nathan Hoagland; sisters, Helen Morgan and Doris French. The visitation will be from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 with the funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. The visitation and funeral will be held at Abundant Life Church, 12165 Hwy 75 N, Willis, Texas with Pastor Dave Stovall officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Cemetery, Willis, Texas In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Abundant Life Church Building Fund, 12165 Hwy 75 N, Willis, Tx 77318
