Bio
Wayne Allen Zona, 65, of Sutherland, Nebraska, passed away February 4, 2022 at Great Plains Health in North Platte. He was born November 11, 1956 to Herman and Caroline Zona in North Platte. Wayne graduated from North Platte High School. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a communication engineer. Wayne was an entrepreneur, creating several technologies. He was an active trap shooter and assisted in starting a trap shoot in Sutherland with his father Herman. He enjoyed being outside and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his two children, five grandchildren, a great-grandchild, three siblings, along with several other family members and friends. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Caroline Zona. A memorial has been established in his name. Cremation was chosen and services will be held at a later date.
