Darwin Hodge September 22, 1932 - January 25, 2022 Darwin C. Hodge, 89, of Port Neches, died Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born September 22, 1932, in Mora, Louisiana, to Hazel Abigail Hillman and Ottis Bethel Hodge. Darwin retired from Star Enterprise in 1994 after forty-three years of service. He was a dedicated member of Memorial Church of Christ, Port Arthur. Darwin loved to work with his hands, and he adored spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Jessie Hodge, of Port Neches; children, Larry Hodge and wife, Elizabeth, of Village Mills; Dennis Hodge and wife, Tracy; and Stanton Hodge and wife, Treva, all of Port Neches; niece, Barbara Ann Piatti and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Charlie Hodge; Holly Hoyler and husband, Andrew; Deanna Hodge; Samantha DeVillier and husband, Jacob; Weston Hodge; and Walker Hodge; great-grandchildren, Delilah Hodge and Benjamin DeVillier; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He is preceded in death by his parents and three siblings. A gathering of Mr. Hodge's family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at Memorial Church of Christ, 2525 Aero Drive, Port Arthur. A private entombment will be held at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches, at a later date.
