Wanda was born December 5, 1921, in Georgetown, Texas, to Monroe Poe Dean and Gunella Baker. She was the oldest of three children. Although she lived in Texas all of her childhood and early adulthood years, Colorado was her home for most of her life. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Dowling; her parents; and a younger brother, Monroe James Dean. NOTE: Year of marriage to Warren Dowling is an estimate.
