Bio

James R. Olin, 72 of Lincoln, formerly of Spencer, passed away January 18, 2022. Jim was born on October 20, 1949, in Lynch, Nebraska, to Mandus and Goldie Olin. He graduated from Spencer High School and Milford Community College. Jim served 14 years in the Air Force and he worked for over 25 years as a chemist for Novartis. Jim's passions were photography and fishing. Jim is survived by his daughter Danielle Olin and his son Nathan (wife Brittany) Olin and their son Elijah. He is also survived by his siblilngs Karen Widhalm, Bob Olin and Jane (husband Dennis) Wagoner. He is preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Butherus Maser and Love funeral home, 4040 A St, Lincoln. The graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday at Yankee Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 4 pm to 6 pm. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
