Graveside services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21st, at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie, with Pastor Ronnie Lawson officiating. Windol was born Christmas Day, 1942 to Elvin & Loise Robbins of Bowie. Windol, like most people born on Christmas, felt like they miss out on their Birthday Celebration! After High School, he married Barbara Wade, and began to work in the oil field and started building their family. They had 4 beautiful children, Pam, Windol, Jr, Angie, and Wes. Windol went to work for Tasty Bread Co. After some time, he felt the call on his life to go into the ministry. Windol and his family pastored 4 churches across Texas. During his pastorate at Wills Point, Texas, he worked part-time at Brookshires Grocery Meat Dept. He pastored in Justin, Texas and worked for the meat locker. From there, they went to pastor in Cement, OK and later in Wellington, Texas. In 1978 Windol married Lupe Zuniga with 3 wonderful children, Nancy, Jeanna and Jeff. With his experience in the meat business he was promoted to Meat Manager of United Grocery over 9 stores. After many years, he moved to Dallas and became Manager of Stride Rite Shoes. He later worked for the City Water Dept. of Henrietta and later retired from the Grapevine Water Dept. He came back to Bowie to retire but he never lost his zeal to work for God. He worked in a church here in Bowie, driving church bus, leading the worship music, and preaching from time to time. He wasn't through yet! He set up a tent at the Pelham Park Fairgrounds to help people who came by for prayer. He did this for several years every Second Monday. He continued to minister through his Facebook with inspirational posts until his death on January 17. He was a Christian man and tried to follow God to the fullest even knowing he wasn't perfect. He will be missed by his Family and many Friends. Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie, TX. White Family Funeral Home Bowie, Texad
